Description

The latest VT20X/VT40X/VT100X features a brand new modeling engine and sounds even better than ever! By using VET (Virtual Element Technology), which is based on an analysis of the components and amp circuits themselves, VTX amplifiers produce the most accurate and realistic amplifier sounds to date. These new amplifiers also feature a multi-stage Valvetronix tube preamp. This preamp design incorporates authentic analog circuitry to achieve the subtle tonal adjustments and capture the nuances that are distinctive of vacuum tube amps. In addition to this clever circuitry, VTX amplifiers feature a tightly sealed cabinet and a proprietary bass-reflex designed to deliver stunning resonance. Go beyond the realm of previous modeling amps with the new VOX Tone Room editing software that lets you customize the existing amps and effects yourself, or create your own!

VET (Virtual Elements Technology) delivers stunning sound quality
Rather than merely modeling the output sound of the original amp, VET (Virtual Elements Technology) allows modeling down to the level of components and circuits. VET perfectly reproduces the characteristics of the original amp in the truest sense.

Valvetronix preamp uses a vacuum tube multi-stage amplification circuit
The VOX Valvetronix series fuses cutting-edge digital technology with classic analog circuitry and incorporates genuine vacuum tubes into the circuitry. The VT20X/VT40X/VT100X uses a Valvetronix preamp as their multi-stage amplification circuit. This circuit accurately reproduces the distinctive distortion, rapid response, and tonal characteristics that are distinctive of classic tube amps and simply cannot be replicated by digital technology alone.

Hybrid digital/analog power amp
The power amp stage combines a true analog circuit in addition with a high-performance digital power amp. The tonal differences between class A and AB, the effect of bias values on the tone, and the changes in dynamic response of the vacuum tubes are faithfully reproduced by the genuine analog circuit. All of these parameters can be adjusted to your liking, allowing you to truly customize the tone and response of the amp.

High-performance DSP delivers next-level sound quality
The sound quality of each amp model has also been significantly improved by the upgraded performance of the DSP. Highly sophisticated DSP has allowed us to obtain major improvements, not only in the sampling rate and the sound of each amp model, but also in the quality of the effects that are the heart of sound-shaping.
Unique chassis design provides rich low-end and overwhelming amp resonance
The combination of a tightly sealed chassis and a proprietary bass-reflex structure efficiently delivers powerful sound and a rich low-end without creating any unwanted resonances. These amps are capable of an overwhelming sound that far exceeds their size.

Tone Room editor/librarian lets you customize the amps and effects
Tone Room editor/librarian software is provided for use with the VT20X/VT40X/VT100X. In addition to the usual amp and effect editing, this software lets you customize parameters in such detail that it’s almost like creating your own musical instrument. Once you’ve made your dream sound a reality, you can store up to three amps/effects that you’ve customized within the amp. Additional amps and effects uploaded by VT20X/VT40X/VT100X users around the world can also be downloaded via Tone Room. In addition to versions for Windows and Mac, Tone Room is also available in iOS and Android versions, letting you edit on nearly any device.

A broad range of 11 realistic amp models (20 when using the editor/librarian software)
The sophisticated modeling technology inherits in the Valvetronix series offers a complete range of diverse amp sounds. The 11 amp models (20 types when using the editor/librarian software) offer the sound of the most sought-after tube amps by guitarists, including rare vintage amps and costly boutique amps. Models of the latest high-gain amps are also included, giving you the flexibility you need for a range of playing techniques and genres.

A full complement of 13 high quality on-board effects
Effects are an essential part of shaping your sound. The VT20X/VT40X/VT100X provide four distortion and dynamics effects for placement before the amp stage, four spatial-type effects such as flanger and delay, and four reverbs, giving you a total of 12 built-in effects. In conjunction with Noise Reduction, you can use up to four effects simultaneously. Additionally, each effect provides multiple parameters, giving you the freedom to instantly get the sound you want. There’s also a tap switch that makes it easy to set the delay time or modulation speed.

33 preset programs (60 when using the editor/librarian software), including signature sounds of famous guitarists
The 33 preset programs (60 when using the editor/librarian software) take full advantage of the potential of the VT20X/VT40X/VT100X. Numerous signature sounds of famous guitarists are also included among these presets, letting you instantly recall the infamous guitar sounds of your favorite songs. Of course you can also edit these programs yourself, and store up to eight of your very own sounds.

Optional VFS5 foot switch allows for easy switching during performance
By using the optional VFS5 foot switch, you can not only switch programs but also turn each effect on/off and make speed/tap settings with your foot, providing a real advantage when you’re designing your sound or performing live.
